Meteorological Pre-warning Grade of High Temperature During Flowering Stage for Summer Maize in North China Plain

چکیده
Abstract High temperatures during flowering stage affects the seed setting in maize and thereby result significant yield penalties recent changing climate era. Based on daily maximum temperature data of growing season from 1971 to 2019 at surface meteorological observatory Henan Province China observation agricultural observatory, an early warning grade high summer was constructed. The ≥ 32 °C as critical threshold disaster, 35 disaster. number days ( HD ) 10 were counted. sequence constructed its normal distribution characteristics verified. quartile value selected different grades, heat damage divided into three grades. index verification carried out by using kernel per ear station for maize. results showed that indexes corresponding with were: 3 ≤ < 5 (Grade I), 7 II), III) 2 III). verified follows, about 90% stations significantly negatively correlated grains ear, 74% which ear. Applying this evaluate risk period, we can indicate had trend increasing gradually north south. In conclusion, could accurately reflect stage.

Impact of spatial-temporal variations of climatic variables on summer maize yield in North China Plain
Summer maize (Zea mays L.) is one of the dominant crops in the North China Plain (NCP). Its growth is greatly influenced by the spatial-temporal variation of climatic variables, especially solar radiation, temperature and rainfall. The WOFOST (version 7.1) model was applied to evaluate the impact of climatic variability on summer maize yields using historical meteorological data from 1961 to 20...
متن کاملSpatial Variation of Soil Respiration in a Cropland under Winter Wheat and Summer Maize Rotation in the North China Plain
Spatial variation of soil respiration (Rs) in cropland ecosystems must be assessed to evaluate the global terrestrial carbon budget. This study aims to explore the spatial characteristics and controlling factors of Rs in a cropland under winter wheat and summer maize rotation in the North China Plain. We collected Rs data from 23 sample plots in the cropland. At the late jointing stage, the dai...
متن کاملHYDRUS Simulation of Sustainable Brackish Water Irrigation in a Winter Wheat-Summer Maize Rotation System in the North China Plain
Freshwater resources in the North China Plain (NCP) are near depletion due to the unceasing overexploitation of deep groundwater, by far the most significant source of freshwater in the region. To deal with the deepening freshwater crisis, brackish water (rich but largely unused water in agriculture) is increasingly being used in irrigation in the region. However, inappropriate irrigation with ...
متن کاملResponse of Soil CO2 Emission and Summer Maize Yield to Plant Density and Straw Mulching in the North China Plain
Demand for food security and the current global warming situation make high and strict demands on the North China Plain for both food production and the inhibition of agricultural carbon emissions. To explore the most effective way to decrease soil CO2 emissions and maintain high grain yield, studies were conducted during the 2012 and 2013 summer maize growing seasons to assess the effects of w...
متن کاملEffects of meteorological conditions on sulfur dioxide air pollution in the North China plain during winters of 2006-2015
The last decade has seen frequent occurrences of severe air pollution episodes of high loading in SO2 during winters in the North China Plain (NCP). Using satellite data from the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI), chemistry transport model (GEOS-Chem) simulations, and National Center for Environmental Predication (NCEP) meteorological reanalysis, this study examines meteorological and synoptic ...
